CONCORD, NC / ACCESSWIRE / November 4, 2015 / Fortiline Waterworks (Fortiline), one of the largest waterworks distributors in the United States, today has been named a McElroy distributor, to sell and service the company's wide range of fusion machines throughout the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest United States.
Additionally, Fortiline will provide operator training for McElroy's equipment and pipe fusion process, which has become a widely-accepted method for joining two pieces of thermoplastic pipe together with heat and pressure.
McElroy began operations in 1954 and has grown to be the industry expert in the science of joining polyethylene pipe.
"We are very excited about our partnership with Fortiline and their dedication to the pipe fusion industry," said McElroy President Chip McElroy. "Together we will play a huge role in meeting the growing demand to rehabilitate today's public infrastructures by replacing them with the highest-quality and most reliable piping systems of our time."
In August, Fortiline announced the creation of an HDPE Fusion Group within the company to provide customers with complete solutions for their high density polyethylene (HDPE) needs.
"HDPE pipe is a growing product segment within the industry and with many of our customers," said Mike Swedick, Fortiline President and COO. "Fortiline created an HDPE Fusion Group to better focus our resources in this area, and respond to our customers' growing HDPE needs.
"With the added benefit of a McElroy distributorship, Fortiline is now able to offer our customers the most reliable, efficient, and technically advanced pipe fusion equipment in the world."
Leading Fortiline's HDPE Fusion Group is Dennis Barnette, HDPE Market Manager. Barnette has more than 25 years of experience working with HDPE and strong knowledge of HDPE fusion techniques, fusion equipment and training.
"Engineers, contractors or any customer searching for HDPE solutions can count on Fortiline's HDPE Group for superior sales and product selection, fast delivery, and a knowledgeable staff with more than 40 years of experience in the field," said Barnette.
