Christie F. Yang, the founder and CEO of Student Travel Expert, has been helping stranded students during the pandemic with their flight needs before founding this online community to enhance student flight experience.

Yaoxin Mo, the co-founder of Student Travel Expert, is also the founder of flight review YouTube channel Wandering Scholar.
The now 19 years old's fascination with aviation is unconventional. Instead of aspiring to sit in the cockpit one day, he wanted to revive the golden age of air travel. The endeavor has been done through his YouTube Channel, Wandering Scholar, which was founded in 2015, when he left Shanghai to pursue studies in the United States. At the age of 13, Wandering Scholar started video production depicting air travel in unparalleled style. At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has charted over a million kilometers in the sky and visited 30+ countries. Along with his journey is a flourishing social media community with over 3 million views and tens of thousands of subscribers worldwide.
For Wandering Scholar, the motivation to build his community of like-minded travelers originates from his globalized perspective as an expatriate student. His 7 and counting years of scholarly journey makes aviation a part of his life.
