"During the most uncertain times in aviation, the inflated flight prices made air travel a financial burden to many families, and witnessing the pandemic's disruption on student travel highlights air travel's necessity among 21st century scholars. That's why we came together to build this interactive platform exclusively to the student community as we make air travel more affordable than ever. We believe Student Travel Expert is not only a platform that revolutionizes student flight experiences, but also a bridge that offers great opportunities for airlines to engage with Gen Z, the next generation of global citizens, and to understand their needs. And of course, one of the most demanding and emergent needs that we hope airlines to realize is that students are prioritizing a more sustainable travel experience, as promoting a sustainable future is the responsibility of our generation."

Yaoxin Mo, the co-founder of Student Travel Expert, is also the founder of flight review YouTube channel Wandering Scholar.

The now 19 years old's fascination with aviation is unconventional. Instead of aspiring to sit in the cockpit one day, he wanted to revive the golden age of air travel. The endeavor has been done through his YouTube Channel, Wandering Scholar, which was founded in 2015, when he left Shanghai to pursue studies in the United States. At the age of 13, Wandering Scholar started video production depicting air travel in unparalleled style. At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has charted over a million kilometers in the sky and visited 30+ countries. Along with his journey is a flourishing social media community with over 3 million views and tens of thousands of subscribers worldwide.

For Wandering Scholar, the motivation to build his community of like-minded travelers originates from his globalized perspective as an expatriate student. His 7 and counting years of scholarly journey makes aviation a part of his life. And his determination to change the public perception of modern air travel while making lofty air travel experience a reality for his peers cemented his decision to curate a student exclusive community at Student Travel Expert.

The masterminds behind this up-and-coming student traveler community encapsulates talents across many fields. The same is expected of its young audience. This month's launch sets the stage for a new era of student travel where privy knowledge and tricks will be made available to a thriving generation. In return, air travel's importance in the globalized world will hopefully be recognized as the industry moves beyond the pandemic.
