LONG ISLAND, NY / ACCESSWIRE / November 8, 2022 / Hopscotch Air, Inc. , a leader in regional air taxi services in the Northeast, announces a nearly total rebound in regional travel following a two year pandemic that ravaged the industry. CEO Andrew Schmertz says "the regional airlines have abandoned a number of communities throughout the northeast and we hope to fill that demand by ‘right-sizing' the market."

With a reduced fleet due largely to the. pandemic, Hopscotch Air has now seen significant growth in revenue legs, nearing 2019 numbers, the year before Covid-19.
"The regional airline market completely fell apart in the last two years," Schmertz says.
The company is increasing its efforts to hire more pilots and is looking to acquire additional Cirrus Aircraft. Hopscotch Air only flies the technologically-advanced Cirrus. The airplane is efficient and keeps prices far below traditional charter fares.
Hopscotch Air has also developed a plan to begin scheduled service, pending the acquisition of turboprops and approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation and has signed a letter of intent with Transcend Air, the manufacturer of state-of-the-art VTOLs, to acquire a number of vertical takeoff and landing aircraft when they are ready.
