BELLEVUE, WA / ACCESSWIRE / November 11, 2021 / Advancements in technology are making remote work and automation more achievable - and more desirable - than ever. With this trend, it seems the business landscape is in for some major changes over the next few years. The extraSlice team believes that with businesses becoming increasingly agile and employees distributed across the world, the need for on-demand offices will soon become the norm.

How the Leasing Process Should Look

Today, the leasing process is complex, time-consuming, broker-centric, and manual in nature. According to CEO Meghana Subramanian, however, it doesn't have to be this way. "It should be as simple as ordering something from Amazon," she claims. Meghana Subramanian and President Binu Reghunathan are the founders of extraSlice, an emerging platform that provides end-to-end office leasing and management around the world for tenants. extraSlice claims the platform was designed to automate the entire leasing process, cutting it down to just three steps: search, sign, and work.

The self-directed platform enables tenants to choose their office space and enables landlords or their representatives to list properties and to secure their ideal clients with unprecedented speed and ease. Though the extraSlice platform has not yet officially launched, it's already generating a buzz and acquiring steady pre-launch funding. extraSlice's solution is trusted by the likes of Accenture, Birla Soft, HMD/Nokia, HCL, Juul, Schneider Electric, and many more big-name brands.

What Modern Companies Really Want

extraSlice was born out of the founders' own painful experience while looking for an agile office space for their company. Though the company was originally a shared workspace business, the team soon learned that the majority of customers were not looking for coworking or shared space, but flexibility and agility to conduct their business in private single-tenant suites. Since then, the company has pivoted to focus on providing offices to small and enterprise customers. Simply put: "Our mission is to make office space leasing and operations extremely simple, providing a superior end-to-end experience where companies can open and operate offices anywhere and at any time."

Innovative companies like extraSlice need to go above and beyond to prove themselves in a market based on trust (an absolute must-have for leasing platforms). The extraSlice team is currently developing a wide variety of features that they hope will not only impress customers, but raise the standards for office leasing. The team believes that the platform's best feature is its tailored recommendations based on market conditions for both tenants and landlords. Landlords get recommendations for winning contract rates and upgrades, while tenants receive a short-list of ideally matched office properties based on their core business needs.

Bringing the Leasing Process Into the Future

As for the future of extraSlice, the team feels confident in their progress and direction. "We are building a company that is going to be the market leader in office space and the way people work in the future," says Meghana. To put it succinctly, extraSlice hopes to become the Amazon of commercial real estate. "What Amazon did to the retail industry, we hope to do to commercial real estate." extraSlice aspires to become the defacto standard for leasing and operating offices all around the world.

The team hopes to continue growing the company through public and private funding that will allow them to create their platform with the care it deserves. Currently, extraSlice is hosting a crowd equity funding initiative at Wefunder. The funding has not yet opened to the public; at the moment, extraSlice is raising capital in private mode.
