Founder Says Her Cancer Was Ultimately The Gift That Led Her To Help Others
MAHOPAC, NY / ACCESSWIRE / October 25, 2021 / October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women. According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer is also the most common cancer globally as of 2021, accounting for 12% of all new annual cancer cases worldwide.
On a positive note, the overall death rate from breast cancer decreased by 1% per year from 2013 to 2018. These decreases are thought to be the result of treatment advances and earlier detection through screening. The importance of the mind-body connection in battling cancer is an ongoing area of research.
Giovanna Tartarone, Mind-Body Connection Wellness Coach at Advanced Creative Services, LLC, is a breast cancer survivor and advocate for the mind-body connection in battling breast cancer. "When I was diagnosed," Tartarone says, "I was convinced I was going to die, and my self-talk started to control me and destroy me."
Tartarone began reading books by molecular biologist Dr. Bruce Lipton and Dr. Joe Dispenza, and Dr. Wayne Dyer. Their theories made sense to her creating the path to healing. She says, "when we become aware of our thoughts, our attitude and feelings can change. And our bodies can change too." She adds, "as a special education teacher of autistic children, I had helped parents and autistic students transform their mindsets for so many years. I saw how powerful it could be. I knew I had to do a mindset transformation for myself. It was the only way to save my life."
It was then that she designed The Rainbow Wellness Method to help herself heal from within by transforming limiting beliefs. She uses The Rainbow Wellness Method to help other women dealing with breast cancer. "I know this may sound crazy, but I now view cancer as a special gift that helped me to rediscover me and my true purpose in life."

A 2014 study at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre of Alberta Health Services in Canada with the University of Calgary Department of Oncology observed 88 breast cancer survivors who had recently completed treatment. Over three months, survivors practiced meditation, mindfulness and participated in support groups. Researchers measured telomeres, the protein complexes at the end of chromosomes. Shortened telomeres are associated with several disease states and cell aging, and longer telomeres are thought to be protective against disease.
Researchers found telomeres maintained their length in breast cancer survivors who practiced meditation or were involved in support groups. In contrast, they shortened in a comparison group that used no intervention. The study concluded mindset might have a positive physical impact at the cellular level in breast cancer survivors.
Tartarone supports additional research on the mind-body connection to deal with cancer. "I just celebrated my 4th-year cancer-free. I want to help women understand the mind-body connection to improve their health and well-being. To embrace their inner selves and focus on a healthy state of mind using the power of the thoughts. This is how we heal, this is the key to live and thrive."
