From Personal Struggle to Community Solution: Two Men Launch New Recovery Path in Omaha

Brent Lambley once watched his four daughters placed in foster care while addiction ran his life into homelessness and violence across a 12-year stretch on the streets. "Recovery is not my job, it's my life," said Brent Lambley, MA, LADC, the center's Program Director. A native Omahan who got sober in 2000, Lambley went on to earn a master's degree in addiction counseling and spent more than a decade treating patients across the region, including programs serving the Pennington County Sheriff's Department and Rosebud Sioux community. "I'm grateful to come back to my birthplace and be a positive force here."
For founder Jesse Rittenhouse, the mission is personal. "I know what it means to be lost," he said. "Having experienced firsthand what addiction can take from a person and all of the amazing things that living in recovery can bring, we wanted to build something that offers real hope, accountability, and practical support to families looking for a new beginning."
Point of Freedom's services include group Intensive Outpatient Programs, individual and virtual therapy, and rapid, court-approved drug and alcohol assessments for individuals facing legal or employment deadlines. Built for working professionals, the program offers flexible scheduling and a high standard of confidentiality protected under federal 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA regulations.
