Breakthrough Science on Display

Recognitions and Honors
ATC is a key moment for the industry to celebrate leaders with prestigious recognitions. This year, Mohamed H. Sayegh, MD, was recognized as the AST Lifetime Achievement Award winner, and Ali Naji, MD, PhD, was recognized as the ASTS Pioneer Award winner.
"No achievement in medicine, science, or life is ever accomplished alone," said Mohamed H. Sayegh, MD.
This year, the congress introduced "Transplant Trivia Throwdown" (T3), where eight teams went head-to-head in a trivia tournament to answer hundreds of expertly crafted questions. Northwestern University was the overall winning team and received a T3 trophy.
State-of-the-Art Lectures
The program also featured leading experts from around the world, including Nobel Prize-winning and globally recognized speakers, delivering State-of-the-Art Lectures on the future of medicine and transplantation.
"Continue to be bold and be brave and keep carrying on with the wonderful work that you do," said Alvin E. Roth, PhD, ATC's Thomas E. Starzl State-of-the-Art Speaker.
