Keepsake and Peyo Company partner for an all-new premium collectible trading card program celebrating nearly seven decades of the little blue icons.
LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESS Newswire / October 4, 2026 / Keepsake, in partnership with Peyo Company, is proud to announce an all-new The Smurfs collectible trading card program, bringing one of the world's most recognizable and enduring entertainment properties to premium trading cards.
Created by legendary Belgian artist Peyo (Pierre Culliford), The Smurfs first appeared in 1958 in the Johan and Peewit comic adventure The Smurfs and the Magic Flute. What began on the pages of a Belgian comic grew into a worldwide pop-culture phenomenon spanning comics, television, movies, toys, collectibles and generations of fans.
The arrival of the classic animated television series in 1981 introduced millions more fans around the world to Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Brainy Smurf, Hefty Smurf, Clumsy Smurf, Jokey Smurf, Gargamel, Azrael and the magical world of Smurf Village.
Nearly seven decades after their creation, the little blue characters remain instantly recognizable around the globe - and now they're ready to get smurfy with Keepsake.

The partnership will begin with The Smurfs Keepsake Premiere Edition, a premium collection celebrating the characters, artwork, adventures and history of the Smurfs.
Collectors will be able to chase numbered parallels, colorful short-print inserts and ultra-rare 1-of-1 cards, with designs inspired by the personalities, humor and unmistakable visual world created by Peyo.
Randomly inserted throughout the collection will be original hand-drawn 1-of-1 sketch cards, alongside rare signature cards and memorabilia/relic cards representing some of the biggest hits in the collection.
And with an entire village of personalities to collect, fans can expect cards celebrating everyone from Papa Smurf and Smurfette to Brainy, Hefty, Clumsy and Jokey - along with Gargamel and Azrael.

Each box will contain at least two numbered cards, memorabilia/relic cards, original sketch cards or signature cards.
