Recent University of Missouri Graduate Tyler Batliner Grows HAGS Clothing Through Organic Marketing, Patriotic Apparel and a Mission to Celebrate Life's Best Moments
KANSAS CITY, MO / ACCESS Newswire / June 25, 2026 / For Tyler Batliner, the thought of truly taking his injury recovery from knee surgery with rest and relaxation was never an option. Instead, the downtime sparked an unexpected burst of creativity - ultimately leading to the launch of HAGS Clothing, a clothing brand blending purpose, passion, and community.
HAGS started in the simplest way: a college kid making shirts for his friends to wear. But it quickly became more than that. What started as a way to fill his time during recovery turned into a brand that celebrates community and encourages you to slow down and focus on human connection whether it is at a Mizzou tailgate or just spending time with your loved ones.
"Being forced to slow down made me rethink how I was spending my time," Batliner said. "HAGS grew out of that. The idea that even in tough stretches, there's always a moment worth grabbing onto."
Batliner just graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia, studying Journalism. A Lee's Summit local, he credits both his hometown roots and his college community for inspiring the brand's identity and momentum.
