The $1.5 million PLO event matches the brand's largest PLO PKO guarantee ever.
SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / September 23, 2026 / Americas Cardroom has announced that its Dual Venom PKO tournaments will return in October with $6.5 million in combined guarantees. Both events begin Sunday, October 4, offering five starting flights each and a $2,650 direct buy-in per tournament.
The schedule includes a $5 million guaranteed No-Limit Hold'em tournament and a $1.5 million guaranteed Pot-Limit Omaha tournament. Both use the progressive knockout format, which awards bounty payments for eliminations alongside regular tournament prize money.
Starting flights for the two events take place October 4, 8, 11, 15 and 18, beginning at 1:05 p.m. ET on each date. Both tournaments then move to Day 2 on Monday, October 19, at 1:05 p.m. ET.
Qualification begins before the opening flight. Venom Fever runs September 29 through October 18 and offers hundreds of seats through Direct Satellites, Mega Satellites and Survivor Flips Step Satellites. Survivor Flips Steps begin at 80 cents, while some Mega Satellites provide qualifying paths starting at $0.
Under the PKO structure, the player responsible for an elimination receives half of the eliminated player's bounty. The remaining half is added to the knockout winner's own bounty. As surviving players accumulate bounties, a single knockout can become worth tens of thousands of dollars.
The previous year's Dual Venom PKOs generated combined prize pools of $7,847,500. The No-Limit Hold'em event recorded 2,498 entries and a $6,245,000 prize pool. Rigapols81 won $378,372 in regular prize money plus nearly $297,000 in bounties, finishing with more than $675,000 overall.
In Pot-Limit Omaha, 641 entries produced a $1,602,500 prize pool. Winner PohPohPohPAAAA earned $135,789 in regular prize money and $117,099 in bounty payments for a total of $252,888.
