SAN JOSÉ, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / August 11, 2026 / Americas Cardroom is introducing a new 14-part weekly editorial interview series that takes readers inside the 2026 WSOP through first-person conversations, beginning with Alex Foxen.
Foxen opens the series after one of the strongest summers of his career. He captured the fourth bracelet of his career by winning the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em event for $594,246, while finishing the series with 14 cashes and more than $2 million in listed payouts.
The project is designed to provide a more personal view of the summer than a conventional results recap. Each participant joins a natural interview or voice-note conversation that is developed into a full editorial feature focused on decisions, memories, frustrations and lessons from the series.
In the opening installment, Foxen breaks down the pivotal three-way all-in that helped propel him toward bracelet No. 4. He also discusses several other major runs, including a seventh-place finish in the $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha event and a final-table appearance in the $100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em event.
The interview also turns to a personal highlight shared with his wife, Kristen Foxen. Kristen won the sixth bracelet of her career in the $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em event, and Alex later added his fourth. Asked which moment he expects to remember most, Foxen pointed to presenting Kristen with her bracelet and celebrating her accomplishment from the other side of the stage.
Foxen also addresses areas he believes he can still improve, hands and near misses that remain on his mind, and two lessons from the summer: a greater appreciation for mixed games and a sharper awareness of how fatigue can affect execution during a demanding tournament series.
The 14-part lineup also includes Chris Hunichen, Chris Moorman, Chance Kornuth, Chris Moneymaker, Robert Kuhn, Katie Lindsay, Jeff Boski, Ana Marquez, Drew Gonzalez, Monika Zukowicz, Jon Pardy, Michael Loncar, and Rene and Casey Nezhoda. One feature is planned each week, although individual publication dates have not been assigned and the running order may change as interviews are completed and approved.
The Alex Foxen feature is available through the site's news and editorial coverage, where readers can also follow the remaining interviews as the series continues.
