The $50,000 PLO High Roller coverage includes a dramatic chip recovery, hand reviews and perspectives on tournament structure.
SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / October 14, 2026 / Americas Cardroom has released a new documentary featuring ACR Poker Pro Chance Kornuth during the 2026 World Series of Poker $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller in Las Vegas. It combines high-stakes hands, strategy and discussion of tournament registration rules.
The event, WSOP Event #55, attracted 110 entries and produced a $5.225 million prize pool. First place was worth $1,368,700, and the field included high-profile players Daniel Negreanu and Martin Kabrhel.
Kornuth describes a Day 1 low point when his stack fell to 1,000 chips. He later rebuilt it to more than 900,000 at one stage and discusses making two entries in the tournament. He also reviews an aggressive bet and considers whether a smaller sizing might have worked.
A separate discussion addresses tournament registration rules. Kornuth raises concerns about how extended late registration and repeated entries by established professionals may affect the willingness of recreational players to participate. Kornuth and other players consider limiting late first entries while allowing earlier entrants to re-enter, balancing recreational player experience with the need to attract entries.
The program captures table exchanges and Kornuth's thoughts on 40-minute Day 1 levels versus longer Day 2 levels. Later footage includes short-stack choices and time extensions as the 17 paid positions approach.
Kornuth won the first of his four WSOP bracelets in a $5,000 PLO event in 2010, earning $508,090. He also finished second in a $50,000 WSOP No-Limit Hold'em High Roller in 2024 for $1,351,000. Since joining the ACR Poker Pro team in May 2026, he has reached both Dual Mystery Bounty Venom final tables, finishing sixth in PLO and seventh in No-Limit Hold'em in September.
The documentary also includes discussion of ACR Poker's Discord community, where Kornuth describes opportunities for players to review hands and interact with ACR Pros. It provides a look at tournament strategy and the conversations surrounding the game.
Viewers can watch the documentary on ACR Poker's YouTube channel.
