FUQUAY VARINA, NC / ACCESSWIRE / December 13, 2023 / The US Patent and Trademark Office has issued a provisional patent for a process to capture gravitational energy to power a machine. The development goal was to address Global Warming and Climate Change. Machines using the process can be made quickly, placed virtually anywhere, and power generators.
Our demand for electricity is rapidly increasing. Nearly 1 million electric cars were sold in the United States in 2022 alone. To address the rapid increase and facilitate rapid rollout of this process it will be licensed to commercial manufacturers of all sizes.

KEY CONCEPTS that are COMMON KNOWLEDGE
- We know and teach in our schools that gravity is a form of energy
- Gravity does not resist horizontal movement (we can push a car but cannot lift it)
- Horizontal movement of weights attached to a lever causes the lever to move
- As objects fall energy is released
SUMMARY
The process uses horizontal motion to lift weights. A motor moves counterweights horizontally on ramps causing levers to rise and fall. The levers lift weights as they rise. Energy captured when a lever rises is released when the lever falls. The result is available energy that can power a generator. (The vertical distance a motor raises weights on ramps is less than the vertical distance the lever will move.)
EXAMPLE
If a machine uses 1000 pound counterweights, a motor would use 320 watts to move the weights on ramps. The lever's movement could capture 18,000 watts per hour-enough to supply 10-15 houses. Larger machines using more weight can produce commercial amounts of electricity. The amount of energy captured (and subsequently released) can be calculated using a formula commonly taught in science classes:
Gravitational Potential Energy = mass x 9.81 x height
or
GPE = mgh
Increasing energy demands and looming climate disasters dictate we cannot ignore this discovery once thought impossible.

- Rather than remove greenhouse gases we put in the atmosphere--do not put them in the atmosphere.
- Rather than try to reduce energy consumption--use a limitless energy source that does not produce harmful byproducts.
- Rather than change our lifestyle--use gravity to fuel our existing infrastructure and future growth.
Our lifestyle does not have to change. We just need to use a different fuel to support it.
