(PINKSHEETS: HYDI) announces the release of three (3) new Medical Ultra-Hydrophilic coatings specifically to "stay wet" (hydrated) longer for use Urological, Gynecological and Gastrointestinal catheters and devices. These specialty coatings will be marketed under the "STAYWET (TM)" brand.
In particular, urological "Self-Catheters" also known as Nelaton or Intermittent Urinary Drainage catheters would benefit greatly from these highly durable medical Ultra-Hydrophilic coatings. Such hydrophilically coated catheters often begin to dry out between the time the patient first hydrates them and the time of insertion into the patient for urine removal. This can result in an unpleasant to painful insertion and removal experience for the patient. With the use of Hydromer's new STAYWET (TM) coatings that "Stay-wet" longer and remain slippery when wet, we hope to greatly reduce patient discomfort.
Hydromer is now offering this new STAYWET (TM) coating technology to our partners in the medical device industry who manufacture these urological, gynecological and gastrointestinal devices that would be able to enhance their products via these highly lubricious and durable medical surface coatings.
