March 8, 2011 - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA – Atocha Resources, (the “Company”), TSX.V – ATT is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Simon Biancardi, LLB to the Board of Directors of the Company.
Mr. Biancardi is a globally experienced lawyer with a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Wales, Cardiff (1991), and businessman with approximately 15 years of both legal and commercial experience. He currently is part of the management team of Day4 Energy (TSX–DFE), a designer of solar electric modules with annual revenues in excess of $100 million dollars.
Subsequent to the completion of his Law degree, he acted as a solicitor in England and Wales, Hong Kong and British Columbia. In addition, Mr. Biancardi has vast business expertise, having worked in advertising, marketing and international business development in London, Brussels, Hong Kong, and Kuwait.
With a rich background of work experience, coupled with his educational training, Mr. Biancardi is in a unique position to bring additional knowledge, expertise and international relationships to the Board of Directors and thereby provide new opportunities for the Company.
