Company Update
ARUSHA, TZ / ACCESS Newswire / October 9, 2026 / Ombeni Eliakimu Maleo, Director of Kiware Africa Safaris and Founder of the ELINIPA & ALDO Institute initiative, has announced that, through support and donations from people in Mexico, the initiative has acquired approximately two hectares of land in Ndoombo Village, Ngwarisambu Ward, Meru District, Arusha, Tanzania. The land is where ELINIPA & ALDO INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE, ART, TECHNOLOGY AND MINISTRY is planned to be developed. Kiware Africa Safaris, an Arusha-based Tanzania safari and Kilimanjaro tour operator established in 2008, is supporting the initiative.
The support from Mexico came about through Mr. Maleo's participation representing Tanzania at the Feria de Comunidades Extranjeras in Querétaro. The initiative is connected with his work at Kiware Africa Safaris and with what the company has been doing in local areas since 2008. The company says it doesn't treat its role as ending when a trip is over. For Mr. Maleo and Kiware Africa Safaris, the institute is a way to give something back to the communities that shape every journey the company hosts.
Why Education Is Central to the ELINIPA & ALDO Initiative
Kiware Africa Safaris has been working for a long time with guides, porters, and local communities in Tanzania. Many team members who make the trips happen live in or near Arusha. The company also says these communities' well-being is as important to its work as the scenery visitors come to see.
Education is central to this goal. When a school is strong, children have better chances in life. Teachers get what they need to teach well. Families can feel more confident about what comes next.
Because Mr. Maleo's work through Kiware Africa Safaris relies on local knowledge and local ties, founding a school feels direct and personal. The initiative continues the trust he and the company have built with neighbors, coworkers, and other partners across the region. This relationship has been growing since 2008.
"Tourism only works well when the communities nearby are doing better too. Our guests visit for Tanzania's landscapes, but the people here shape the trip. I founded this initiative to focus on the children and families who are part of our journey. Thanks to the support we received from Mexico, we now have land where the institute can be developed. We hope others will come alongside us," said Ombeni Eliakimu Maleo, Director of Kiware Africa Safaris and Founder of the ELINIPA & ALDO Institute initiative.
A Long-Term Educational Vision
The initiative's main goal is to build a safer, better-prepared learning space for students. It aims to expand educational opportunities for children and families in the local community, especially those with limited financial resources to pay for their education. It also has a second aim: to give teachers useful materials and support.
The long-term vision is a complete educational pathway from Preschool and Primary School through Secondary School and Technical College. The institute is meant to offer academic, technical, and practical learning that helps children build a brighter future. Its message is simple: "A place to learn. A future to build."
The initiative also expects the work to bring people closer. It wants stronger links between the school, nearby families, and the wider community. It also wants other businesses, visitors, and partners to see that real help for local schools can happen when people cooperate and follow through.
In addition, the founder wants this to be a team effort. Staff, guides, and partners of Kiware Africa Safaris will be asked to join when it makes sense. This way, the work can feel like part of the broader Kiware Africa Safaris family, not only a task handled by leaders.
A Long-Term Commitment, Not a One-Time Gesture
Mr. Maleo and Kiware Africa Safaris plan to stay committed to the institute over time. The focus will include teachers and local families, not just a one-off gift. As the work continues, the initiative plans to keep the community updated. The updates will be shared openly so supporters can follow changes as the project moves along.
Ombeni Eliakimu Maleo said, "We do not want this to be a short-term project. We want to remain committed, listen to the needs of the local community, and continue working toward what will make the greatest difference for the children and families the institute is intended to serve."
A Company Rooted in Arusha
Kiware Africa Safaris started in 2008. The base is in Arusha, a town people use to reach the best spots in northern Tanzania. The trips include Tanzania wildlife safari tours in Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park. The company also offers cultural safari days that showcase local life.
A local guide leads each journey. Many of those guides grew up in the same areas visitors come to see. Over the years, guests have come for different reasons, like climbing Kilimanjaro, watching wildlife on the plains, and meeting people to learn about local culture. The team would like some of those guests to support the school too.
Safety and comfort are priorities. The company also wants visitors to feel the land and understand its traditions. Travelers choosing a safari operator often look at how it treats the communities it works in, and in Kiware's view, the best results come when the Tanzanians who host visitors are supported as well. That is why the school project is important to everyone on the team.
