The two-time Liga Mexicana de Beisbol champion and reigning offensive leader is back in Mexico City as Diablos Rojos chase a historic three‑peat in 2026.

MEXICO CITY, MX / ACCESS Newswire / April 1, 2026 / Diablos Rojos del México and Robinson Canó announced that the star second baseman has officially returned to Mexico City for the 2026 Liga Mexicana de Beisbol season, marking his third consecutive campaign with the club.

Since joining Diablos Rojos in 2024, Canó has been one of the most dominant hitters in the LMB, winning the league batting title in his first year with a .431 average and leading the club to the Serie del Rey championship. In 2025, he helped Diablos Rojos capture back‑to‑back league titles and was a key figure in the club's undefeated run to the Baseball Champions League Americas title, where he was named tournament MVP.

With Canó returning, Diablos Rojos enter 2026 pursuing a historic LMB three‑peat and another championship run in front of their fans at Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú. The veteran infielder's experience, leadership, and consistent production will again anchor the lineup as the club opens its 2026 campaign in April.

"Mexico has become a second home for me," said Robinson Canó. "Playing for Diablos Rojos, competing for championships, and feeling the energy of the fans in Mexico City is special. I'm excited to be back for 2026 and ready to work for another title."

Club representatives highlighted that Canó's return underscores the organization's commitment to attracting elite international talent and delivering a championship‑caliber product on the field every season.
