BLACKPOOL, ENGLAND / ACCESS Newswire / June 29, 2026 / SCROOGE: A Cirque Extravaganza, the cirque-style retelling of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol from the team behind the Elf The Musical UK tour, returns for a 2026 UK run. Following a smash-hit 2025 season at the ICC Wales, the production opens in Blackpool and tours to Derby, Bradford, London's ExCeL, and Killarney from December 2026 into the new year.

The show pairs musical theatre with full circus spectacle, suitable for the whole family, performed by an international cast. At the centre of the 2026 staging is Jordan Conway, who plays narrator Charles Dickens fresh from a two-year run as Buddy in Elf The Musical. Conway previously played Charlie Chaplin in the West End and Edinburgh Festival hit Laurel and Chaplin: The Feud, a portrayal Chaplin's grandson Spencer called the best he had ever seen of his grandfather. Black Country Radio described Conway as "an absolute sensation" in the role of Buddy.
Cast and creative
Richard Gauntlett leads the cast, reprising his acclaimed turn as Ebenezer Scrooge and drawing on West End credits including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and Barnum. Multi-skilled break-dancing acrobat Nathan Paul plays fire-breathing circus owner Mr. Fezziwig, with veteran actor Barry Bloxham as Jacob Marley directing the three ghosts of past, present and future. Nicole Clements plays Belle, Beccy Lee plays Mrs. Cratchit, and a new young performer joins as Tiny Tim. Circus staging is led by Harvey Donnelly, who spent eleven years with Cirque du Soleil.
International ensemble
The production features an international ensemble of circus and variety artists, including Chenlong Zhou (China), the 5050 Collective (Belgium), Zsolt Szlavkovszki (Hungary), the One Love Duo (Morocco), James Guiver (Canada), Suzy Pegler (UK), Gina Morales (South America), Lester Cardens (Cuba), Harvey Bell (UK), Simon Deville (UK), and Duo Yehor and Yaroslava (Ukraine), across disciplines from aerial silks and straps to teeterboard, fire skills, wire walking and chair balancing.
