Newly launched solar equipment liquidator demonstrates efficient path to value recovery for distressed solar assets
DRIPPING SPRINGS, TX / ACCESS Newswire / July 1, 2026 / SolarAuction.com ("Solar Auction"), an independent solar equipment liquidator serving asset holders, lenders, and bankruptcy trustees across the United States, today announced the successful acquisition of 37 megawatts of Qcells Q.PEAK DUO XL-G11.3/BFG bifacial modules through a competitive auction process conducted with full regulatory disclosure.
The acquisition represents the largest transaction closed to date by Solar Auction. The inventory was secured through a formally structured process and represents a significant volume of Tier-1 equipment successfully moved through an expedited liquidation pathway.
For asset holders navigating distressed situations, speed and certainty of close matter as much as final recovery value. Solar Auction was purpose-built to deliver both.
"Asset holders in distressed situations need speed, certainty, and a clear path forward," said Drew Johnson, Director of Operations at Solar Auction. "A formal process, full regulatory disclosure, clean close. That's what this transaction delivered."
Solar Auction combines formal auction infrastructure with deep solar industry expertise, giving asset holders access to a qualified buyer network and a structured process designed to maximize recovery value on distressed solar equipment. The platform serves a range of clients including companies in foreclosure, lenders managing collateral, and trustees overseeing asset disposition.
The 37 MW lot has been acquired by Solar Auction's distribution affiliate, Guided Path Solar, and is now exclusively available to that network's buyer base.
"Distressed solar assets don't have to mean distressed outcomes," Johnson added. "We exist to close that gap."
