Ghribi holds talks with Gambian and European leaders ahead of the eighth ECAM Council summit
NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / September 24, 2026 / The world does not change simply because its leaders gather. It changes when they decide what to build together.

That purpose shaped the conversations Kamel Ghribi held this morning at the United Nations. Ghribi, Executive Chairman of the ECAM Council and of GKSD Investment Holding, met the Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia, Muhammad B.S. Jallow, accompanied by several of his ministers, in a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The discussion focused on potential investment in healthcare and infrastructure, including the development of hospital capacity and services designed around the country's own priorities. Education and energy were also raised as areas of possible cooperation.
"A true partnership must create tangible opportunities that people can feel and see the impact of in their daily lives," said Ghribi. "From health and education to infrastructure and energy, GKSD stands ready to place its expertise and capabilities at the service of initiatives tailored to the priorities and needs of the Republic of The Gambia."
"Dialogue attains its true value only when it translates into action and concrete achievements," he added.
At the United Nations, Ghribi's meetings with Egypt's Mostafa Madbouly and Iraq's Fuad Hussein brought North Africa and the Middle East into focus. His conversations with Italy's Antonio Tajani and Equatorial Guinea's Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue widened the horizon to Europe and Africa.
A day earlier at the United Nations, on 22 September, Ghribi met the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and the President of Romania, Nicusor Dan.

Together, these encounters reflected the vision at the heart of ECAM: working together to turn dialogue into opportunity.
For Ghribi, dialogue must have a destination: hospitals that care for people, infrastructure that serves communities, investment that creates opportunity.
"The conversations begin here," he said. "Their measure will be what they make possible beyond these walls."
