Company Name Change
ALEXANDRIA, VA / ACCESS Newswire / October 1, 2026 / Body Imperium has announced that it is changing its name to Imperium Strength and Longevity, also known simply as Imperium.
"Body Imperium" and "Imperium Strength and Longevity" and "Imperium" are the same business. The rebrand does not represent a change in ownership, relocation, or a newly established company. Imperium will continue operating at 323 South Washington Street in Alexandria, Virginia.
The new name more accurately represents the studio's established focus on helping adults build muscle, preserve strength, and maintain their physical capability through technology-supported resistance training.
The business originally operated as a Pilates studio. It later became Body Imperium and transitioned to a strength-training model centered on ARX® (Adaptive Resistance Exercise) technology. Today, Imperium is a specialized ARX strength-training studio-not a Pilates studio-and does not offer Pilates classes.
ARX technology uses computer-controlled, motorized resistance that automatically responds to the user's effort throughout each movement. The equipment records performance data during training, allowing clients to measure their strength and monitor their progress over time.
"People assume more is always better when it comes to fitness," said Victoria Azor, founder of Imperium Strength and Longevity. "You don't have to live at the gym to be strong, muscular, and physically capable. You just have to train intelligently."
Meaning "absolute power, dominion, and control," the name Imperium reflects the company's belief that mastery of the body is the foundation of all power. Adding "Strength and Longevity" to the formal business name makes its current services and long-term focus more immediately recognizable.
The transition will include updates to the company's signage, website, social profiles, digital branding, and online business listings. During the transition, some websites, search results, and directories may temporarily display the former Body Imperium name.
