Vet-owned urgent care provider expands access to veterinary care on Cincinnati's west side

CINCINNATI, OH / ACCESS Newswire / August 25, 2026 / AcutePet Urgent Care, a veterinarian-owned urgent care network, will celebrate the opening of its ninth location in White Oak with a ribbon cutting and community open house on Thursday, August 27 at 2 p.m., ahead of opening to patients on Friday, August 28 at 10 a.m.

Located on Cincinnati's west side, the new hospital expands access to urgent veterinary care for pet families in White Oak, throughout western Hamilton County and in nearby southeastern Indiana.

"There has been a growing need for additional access to urgent veterinary care on Cincinnati's west side," said Dr. Doug Hoffman, co-founder and co-CEO of AcutePet Urgent Care. "White Oak gives us an opportunity to help meet that need while supporting the primary care veterinarians who have been serving these communities for years."

That need has been matched by an enthusiastic welcome from the White Oak community.

"We never take that welcome for granted," said Dr. David Sachs, co-founder and co-CEO of AcutePet Urgent Care. "Our goal is to earn trust from pet owners and veterinary colleagues alike. The response in White Oak has been incredibly warm, and we're excited to become part of this community."

Ribbon Cutting & Community Open House

The public is invited to join the AcutePet team on Thursday, August 27 at 2 p.m. at 5907 Cheviot Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45247 for a ribbon cutting and community open house featuring team introductions, facility tours, light refreshments and giveaways.

The White Oak hospital will officially open to patients on Friday, August 28 at 10 a.m. Like all AcutePet hospitals, the new location will provide accessible, quality urgent veterinary care for illnesses and injuries that require prompt attention, offering pet families a more affordable alternative to emergency care when hospitalization or specialty treatment is not required.

The opening expands AcutePet's footprint to nine hospitals across Ohio, Kentucky, South Carolina and New Jersey. Current locations include Beavercreek, Grove City, Solon, West Chester and White Oak (Cincinnati), Ohio; Bellevue, Kentucky; Mount Pleasant and Summerville, South Carolina; and Voorhees, New Jersey.

AcutePet's next hospital, in Avon, Ohio, is slated to become the organization's tenth location later this year.
