The comprehensive audit, conducted by independent CPA firm Prescient Assurance LLC, confirms that ProctorFree's information security practices, policies, and controls meet the rigorous standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
A SOC 2 Type 2 report provides a detailed, independent evaluation of a service organization's controls relevant to security. Unlike a Type 1 report, which only reviews the design of a system at a specific point in time, the Type 2 examination rigorously tests the operating effectiveness of those controls over an extended period.
The successful completion of this audit demonstrates that ProctorFree's system architecture, physical infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and employee operational practices are properly designed and effectively managed to protect user data.
