As a spokesperson for Squaggle noted, tablets come with many exciting possibilities for toddlers and kids.

With more and more kid-friendly apps popping up in mobile app stores, parents are embracing the idea of giving their child access to these mobile devices to keep them busy through long trips, give them something fun to do on a rainy day, or enjoy learning on a new platform.

While tablets can be a positive and fun learning tool, the spokesperson noted, it is still concerning that kids can access content not meant for them.

"In my experience there is plenty of good stuff available. Unfortunately, there is also lots of bad stuff, and no shortage of ugly stuff," Tobin said.

"So, over the years the question for me has always been 'As a parent, how do I use current technology to help make my kids smarter while protecting them from all the bad stuff that is out there?'"

This knowledge inspired Tobin and his team to design and build Squaggle, a tablet specifically designed for kids. The fun and bright tablet is durable enough to withstand bumps and accidents while still being packed with great features.

The fully-functioning tablet has an 8" screen with a 5MP back camera and 2MP front facing camera. It comes preloaded with 62 award winning edutainment apps which pack in more than 324 games, puzzles, and activities. Users will be able to access Google Play to add on even more kid-friendly apps.

Kids will also be able to browse online and watch videos, and unsuitable content can easily be blocked using parental controls. Squaggle also has a timer that will automatically shut off the tablet, putting a limit on screen time so kids won't waste hours in front of a screen. With this amazing tablet, kids will have access to quality content and enjoy technology without risking exposure to unsafe websites and video or adult content.
