Caribbean-born designer pairs his S/S 2027 men's and women's collection with an original art display centered on peace and unity.
NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / September 4, 2026 / Fashion designer Jurjis Jarvis will present his Spring/Summer 2027 men's and women's wear collection on September 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Daylight Studios, 50 West 17th Street, 2nd Floor, New York, as part of the official CFDA-organized New York Fashion Week schedule. The presentation, titled "The Global Peace And Love Movement," pairs the collection with a display of Jarvis's original artwork.
Jarvis, who was born on the island of Saint Kitts and Nevis and moved to the United States as a young man, taught himself to design after seeing another designer's work backstage at a fashion show in Harlem. He began his career making jewelry and sculpture from coconut shells, work he sold on the streets of New York City before shifting his focus to clothing design.
Jarvis has presented his men's and women's collections independently at New York Fashion Week, including runway presentations at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2014, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2015, and Spring 2016 New York Fashion Week. He has also appeared at the 2016 United Nations Arts and Fashion reception. Jarvis has shown at Pret a Porter in Paris and has taken part in several major fashion events.
This season's collection takes its name and theme from what Jarvis describes as a celebration of fashion, peace, and unity. The presentation pairs his Spring/Summer 2027 men's and women's collection with a display of his original art, bringing together two forms of expression Jarvis has pursued since he first arrived in New York: garment design and sculpture.
The piece anchoring the presentation is deceptively simple, a hand, raised in the two-finger peace sign, cradling a red heart between its fingers. But both symbols carry histories of being remade into something more hopeful than how they began. The V sign was born in 1941 as a wartime salute for victory, before a new generation reached for the same two fingers, decades later, and turned it into a plea for peace instead. The heart is older still, a shape people have reached for since the 13th century to say the one thing words sometimes can't. For Jarvis, raising both together is not an abstraction. It is where his life started.
"My inspiration for this collection is Love, Peace and Paint," said Jarvis. "The energy of the world has changed dramatically and, at times, has become dark. I believe the remedy is love-because love brings light-and art, because colors have the power to inspire positive energy. This collection features charmeuse, cotton and silk fabrics, with elements of my original paintings incorporated into select designs. Alongside the fashion collection, I am also introducing a selection of my original artwork, which will be on display. Ultimately, my message is simple: Let's bring back the love."
Jarvis's design signature blends structured tailoring with sculptural, hand-manipulated fabric work. The pieces in this new collection include a pleated and gathered bodice built from a lightweight woven fabric; floral-printed satin worked into a fitted moto jacket and tiered, flared trousers in a 1970s-inspired silhouette; a lace-paneled, floor-length column gown; a shawl-collar evening jacket finished with contrast piping; and structured, high-collared outerwear paired with wide, cuffed shorts.

Jurjis Jarvis is a self-taught fashion designer originally from Saint Kitts and Nevis, now based in New York City. He designs both men's and women's ready-to-wear collections and has presented independently at New York Fashion Week, including runway presentations at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
