Company says it reached $200,000 within the first three hours of crowdfunding after generating 73 million organic views and nearly 25,000 pre-launch signups and reservations
SAN DIEGO, CA / ACCESS Newswire / August 13, 2026 / Moonbox, a San Diego-based pet-products startup founded by husband-and wife team Isaac and Ana Rams, is advancing its manufacturing plans after reporting $200,000 in crowdfunding support within the first three hours of its campaign.
The milestone follows a period of rapid audience growth for the company. Since publicly introducing the Moonbox concept on July 5, 2026, Moonbox says its content has generated more than 73 million combined organic views across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. The company also recorded nearly 25,000 pre-launch signups and reservations, including more than 21,000 waitlist registrations and more than 3,500 paid VIP reservations.
Moonbox says the early response is helping inform production planning, product refinement and manufacturing priorities as the company moves toward commercial production.
"The response has given us a clearer picture of what cat owners are looking for and where we need to focus," said Isaac Rams, co-founder and inventor of Moonbox. "Our priority now is execution - refining the product, preparing for manufacturing and building the systems needed to support the company's next stage."
Isaac and Ana began developing manual prototypes in late 2024. Feedback from the company's community later influenced product refinements, including interchangeable grill options and separate Classic and Stainless configurations.

Moonbox's first product is a manually operated litter system that separates clumped litter from clean litter through rotation. The design does not rely on motors, sensors, batteries, Wi-Fi or a mobile application.
The company says crowdfunding proceeds are intended to support tooling and mold development, production-intent samples, testing, packaging engineering and manufacturing setup.
Moonbox is entering a sizable U.S. pet market. According to the American Pet Products Association, 53 million U.S. households owned a cat in 2025, while U.S. pet industry sales reached $158 billion.
