Mergers and Acquisitions
Strategic partner acquires Kelvon's infrastructure and risk analytics technology developed by solo Founder and CEO Maria Cannizzo.
LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESS Newswire / October 20, 2026 / A strategic partnership has culminated in the acquisition of Kelvon's prediction markets infrastructure, as the strategic partner moves to bring Kelvon's technology in-house. Founded and led by fintech executive Maria Cannizzo, Kelvon developed infrastructure addressing some of the most complex challenges facing institutional participation in prediction markets.

As prediction markets expand beyond speculation into financial research, trading, and risk management, the infrastructure supporting them presents a challenge: contracts tied to the same real-world event can carry different conditions, outcomes, and settlement rules. Understanding those differences requires more than aggregating market prices.
Kelvon developed its proprietary Event Graph to address that problem. The technology maps relationships between real-world events, contracts, and settlement conditions, providing a foundation for evaluating markets in context. Alongside the Event Graph, Kelvon built data normalization infrastructure, market analytics, and contract risk scoring capabilities to support more sophisticated financial applications.
The acquisition followed the partner's evaluation of Kelvon's infrastructure, with the technology now moving into its internal operations.
Cannizzo built Kelvon as its sole founder and CEO, bringing extensive experience in financial infrastructure, institutional technology, and financial product development.
