ITHACA, NY / ACCESS Newswire / September 9, 2026 / GrammaTech, a leading provider of advanced AI and cybersecurity research, software assurance technologies and cyber resilience products, today announced the appointment of Dr. Lucja Kot as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Dr. Lucja Kot, who most recently served as GrammaTech's Vice President of Research, brings two decades of experience in cybersecurity, software assurance, and computer science, with a track record of leading advanced research and development programs, and translating innovative research into practical capabilities. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University. As CEO, she will lead GrammaTech as the company continues to advance technologies that help government and commercial organizations secure, analyze, and modernize critical software systems.

"Lucja is uniquely suited to lead GrammaTech into its next chapter," said Ken Clark, member of GrammaTech's Board of Directors. "She understands both the complexity of the research we do and what it takes to turn that research into practical software capabilities that address real government needs. Her technical expertise, leadership, and experience working with our government partners make her the right person to expand the impact of GrammaTech's technology."

Kot's appointment comes as GrammaTech continues to expand its cybersecurity capabilities, advance its work at the intersection of AI, software assurance and cybersecurity, advance software modernization, transition cutting-edge research into operational capabilities, and grow government and commercial partnerships.

"I am excited to step into the CEO role at GrammaTech at an important point in the company's evolution," said Dr. Lucja Kot. "The company has an exceptional history of solving difficult software and cybersecurity challenges. As AI changes how software is developed and the cybersecurity threats organizations face, we have an opportunity to apply our deep research expertise to help build and secure the next generation of critical systems. I look forward to working with the GrammaTech team to build on that foundation, strengthen our partnerships, and bring our technologies to more organizations facing critical security and modernization challenges."

GrammaTech thanks outgoing CEO, Dan Goodwin, for his leadership and contributions to the company over the past three years. He set and implemented a strategy that positions GrammaTech for its next chapter, and the company is grateful for his dedication to its employees, customers, and mission.
