MADISON, OH / ACCESS Newswire / October 14, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who is proud to interview and honor Joanie Keehn for her distinguished contributions to health insurance, consumer advocacy, entrepreneurship and community leadership. With more than two decades of experience in insurance services, Mrs. Keehn has built a career centered on helping individuals, families, seniors and small business owners better understand coverage while protecting their health and financial well-being.

As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors including position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence within a field are taken into account during the selection process.
Since 2014, Mrs. Keehn has served as an independent agent with HealthMarkets Insurance Agency and as the owner of Health Insurance 4 You. Her areas of expertise include individual health insurance outside employer-sponsored plans, coverage for small business owners and Medicare solutions.
At the heart of Mrs. Keehn's professional philosophy is a service-first approach. She describes her agency as faith-based, guided by the principle of putting faith first, service second and personal interests last. That philosophy can mean helping clients even when there is no commission attached to the work.
"My gift is to love somebody right where they're at, not where they were, not who they were supposed to be, not who they thought they would be, not who they want to be, not where they want to be, not who they're supposed to be, not who they're called to be," Mrs. Keehn said of her approach during her Marquis Who's Who interview. "It's literally to love them right now, right here, and help them breathe in this very moment when they feel like they can't, without judgment." She extends the same consideration to employees, emphasizing that their families and personal needs should not automatically come second to business demands.
In her interview, Mrs. Keehn emphasized that personal service will become increasingly important as health insurance continues to change. She believes artificial intelligence and online tools can help consumers compare plans and gather information, but technology cannot fully replace an experienced professional who understands provider networks, claims issues, missing identification cards and the practical complexities that arise after a policy is purchased. She likens her role to that of a translator who helps clients understand the many layers behind health insurance decisions.
She stated in her Marquis Who's Who interview that consumer advocacy has become another defining component of Mrs. Keehn's career. She travels to Washington, D.C., and the Ohio Statehouse to meet with legislators and discuss health care policy, affordability and the effects of regulatory changes on consumers. Her work focuses on helping policymakers understand how insurance systems function in practice and how changes can affect families, seniors, business owners and independent agents.
Mrs. Keehn has also been active in professional leadership through the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals, Northeast Ohio chapter. She has served multiple terms as president and remains involved in legislative leadership. Her earlier career included positions as a broker sales consultant and field sales representative at Aetna, and as managing partner of the individual and Medicare division at Right Track Benefits.
Her educational background includes an Associate of Arts in communications from Lakeland Community College, an associate credential in office administration from Bradford School, and classwork toward a Bachelor of Science in organizational leadership from Cleveland State University. Her path to insurance began after early experience in bookkeeping, scheduling and manufacturing management. Seeking greater balance after starting a family, she transitioned into insurance and steadily developed the career and agency she leads today.
Mrs. Keehn's achievements include recognition as Women's Business of the Year by the Gazette, honors from her local chamber of commerce, a legislative award from NABIP and eight years of Top 175 status with HealthMarkets. She has also ranked 47th nationally in HealthMarkets sales.
Looking ahead, Mrs. Keehn plans to expand her HealthMarkets team so the agency can serve more people while dedicating additional attention to Find Your Piece of Peace, her faith-based motivational venture. Her broader goal is to help others continue dreaming, overcoming challenges and pursuing meaningful personal and professional goals.
"Joanie Keehn exemplifies the caliber of compassionate entrepreneur and consumer advocate Marquis Who's Who is proud to chronicle," the editorial team stated. "Her ability to combine insurance expertise, legislative advocacy and a deeply service-oriented approach reflects a career devoted to helping people navigate complex decisions with greater confidence." Through its interview and recognition of Mrs. Keehn, Marquis Who's Who celebrates a professional whose work continues to advance consumer education, personalized service and leadership within the health insurance industry.
