An Early Pivot to the Electrical Field

Mr. Furru began his career as a pre-apprentice, having set aside his academic interests to pursue the trades. He quickly learned the basics, then progressed to a five-year union electrical internship in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Fascinated by efficiency, he relied on his inventive mindset to progress into the role of electrical apprentice at Hurt Electric Inc. in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, in 2006.

During his time as an electrical apprentice, Mr. Furru completed his journeyman certificate to progress further at Hurt Electric Inc. From 2010 to 2015, he operated as a foreman and journeyman at the company. Mr. Furru was subsequently promoted to project manager at Hurt Electric Inc., launching his leadership career. He remained in this position until 2017, when he transitioned to Pieper Electric Inc.

Leadership at Pieper Electric Inc.

Mr. Furru saw his move to Pieper Electric Inc. as a chance to gain experience as a project manager, but after five years in this role, he was promoted to department supervisor at the company. He remained in this position until 2024, when he was again promoted to his current role as senior operations manager overseeing design build and light construction at Pieper Electric Inc.

As senior operations manager at the firm, Mr. Furru is responsible for managing financials, job performance and departmental outcomes. Furthermore, he is dedicated to mentoring junior project managers; recently, he has been conducting a grassroots campaign to teach the young project managers across the company. In doing so, he ensures long-term growth for Pieper Electric Inc.

Civic and Membership Involvement

Outside of his professional career, Mr. Furru is actively involved in several civic and membership organizations. He is a volunteer with Ronald McDonald House Charities and Junior Achievement and a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association. Additionally, he is an instructor at Project Management Academy and a former member of Local Union 494.

Mr. Furru attributes much of his success to his ability to remain true to himself. He maintains that being a good person, working hard and being honest help to build meaningful connections with others, and these aspects of his personality continue to inform his career.

These projects are largely focused on streamlining company processes and mentoring young professionals, areas where Mr. Furru is especially capable.
