Mr. Fournier joined AirRevive after the company's owners, longtime friends, invited him to help reset and grow the organization as an equity partner. Drawing upon his legal, operational and business background, he has focused on expanding AirRevive's national presence while developing relationships throughout the hospitality sector.
Sustainability is central to Mr. Fournier's vision. In an interview with Marquis Who's Who, he explained that innovation does not always require inventing an entirely new technology. Instead, AirRevive focuses on process innovation by rehabilitating existing HVAC assets, thereby reducing the amount of equipment entering landfills and limiting the new resources required for replacement units.
AirRevive's refurbishment process can include insulation replacement, control valve and actuator upgrades, coil work, and electronically commutated motor retrofits. The company addresses common hospitality challenges such as poor airflow, inconsistent temperatures, excessive noise, odors, high energy costs and recurring equipment failures.
Mr. Fournier also highlighted the use of automatic balancing valves that regulate water flow according to equipment specifications, helping HVAC systems operate more efficiently. As he explained to Marquis Who's Who, "upgrading to better insulation and electronically commutated motors, also known as ECM or EC motors, not only improves sustainability but also reduces energy consumption."
His approach to leadership is equally distinctive. Rather than relying on a traditional top-down structure, Mr. Fournier views himself as a coach working alongside his team. He considers the loyalty generated through this horizontal leadership style one of his most important professional achievements. Former colleagues from earlier stages of his career have maintained relationships with him and, in some cases, chosen to work with him again at AirRevive.
Before entering the HVAC sector, Mr. Fournier told Marquis Who's Who that he developed extensive experience in law, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and executive management. He began his legal career with Lavery de Billy in Montréal and later served in leadership roles at Atis Group. At Dorel Industries Inc., he advanced from corporate legal counsel to general counsel and eventually vice president and general counsel for the corporate and juvenile segment. He also later served as president of Ameriwood Home, a division of Dorel Industries Inc.
Additionally, his career has included service as chief executive officer of Les Entreprises Marc Saulnier, business development partner at Soluqual and board director at Coffrages Synergy Formwork. Since 2017, he has also served as a board member and shareholder of Solutions Nexarts Inc.
Mr. Fournier earned a Bachelor of Laws from Université de Montréal and a Master of Business Administration from HEC Montréal. Before his legal and executive career, he served as a mechanical technician in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1996 to 2003, an experience that complements the technical and operational dimensions of his work today.
He remains active in the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Superyacht Association. His previous civic and governance work has included board service with Collège Stanislas, the Montreal chapter of Treble Victor Group and the Quebec Artists Foundation.
Mr. Fournier attributes his success largely to resilience and an enduring desire to build. He believes setbacks are inevitable for entrepreneurs, but that continued progress depends on the ability to persist, adjust and continue moving toward a larger objective.
Looking ahead, Mr. Fournier intends to expand AirRevive through acquisitions, partnerships and joint ventures while strengthening the company's local presence across the United States.
