Company Update
The founder of Grupo Blascool aims to bring his experience developing consumer brands and businesses within the retail ecosystem to new markets. Now living in Georgia with his family, he is evaluating opportunities for potential future expansion into the United States.
MIAMI, FL / ACCESS Newswire / October 15, 2026 / Latin American entrepreneurial talent includes business founders who have turned their understanding of local markets into ventures with international growth potential. Among them is Chilean entrepreneur Rodrigo Berthet, founder and CEO of Grupo Blascool, whose career spans more than 13 years developing brands, products and services connected to the retail sector.
Now living in Georgia with his family, Berthet is considering a new chapter focused on understanding the U.S. market and evaluating opportunities for future projects. His vision is to explore how lessons learned in Chile could be adapted to different consumer, distribution and business environments.

From Founding a Business to Reaching Major Retailers
One concrete example of Berthet's personal involvement is his founding of Loops, a pet products and accessories business. He established the company, whose products subsequently reached major retailers including Walmart, Tottus and Easy. Loops was later acquired by Starfood, marking a milestone in his entrepreneurial career.
This experience illustrates a business's progression from its founding to distribution through major retail chains and its subsequent acquisition. It also provides a concrete foundation for Berthet's perspective on developing consumer businesses within the retail ecosystem.
"We want to replicate this successful model with the brands already within Grupo Blascool and with any others that wish to join us. This is one of our main goals, backed by our knowledge and experience," Berthet says.
A Platform Built on Market Experience
In April 2013, Berthet launched the venture that would later become Grupo Blascool. The company has evolved into a platform encompassing brand development, distribution, non-food products, retail real estate and investment.
Its approach seeks to understand what each business needs: identifying its consumers, determining appropriate distribution channels, establishing brand positioning and assessing the operational conditions required for growth.
Grupo Blascool works with brands including STABILO, UHU, HALLMARK, JOVI, COLOP and DELI, among others, as well as licensed properties including Pantone, Disney and The Little Prince, with a presence in various Southern Cone markets.
"Our investments are grounded in sound reasoning, measured commitments and execution informed by market knowledge and our experience. We work from a proven model to move forward with confidence," Berthet says.
EcowashCar and Potential Future Expansion
Another milestone in his career was joining EcowashCar as a partner in 2019. Founded in Chile in 2014, the business provides automotive washing and detailing services with an approach that incorporates water conservation and a growth model associated with retail real estate.
Drawing on the experience developed in Chile, Berthet is considering the possibility of a future expansion of this concept into the United States. Such a project would require evaluating consumer preferences, market conditions and the adaptations needed to introduce the model into a new environment.
Any initiatives involving expansion into the United States remain future plans, subject to an assessment of opportunities and compliance with applicable requirements.
Latin American Talent With an International Outlook
Berthet holds a degree in Business Administration and a master's degree in Finance from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. He complemented his education with an academic exchange in France. Before becoming an entrepreneur, he spent three years at Walmart, gaining experience in retail, category development and consumer behavior.
His career offers a perspective on Latin American entrepreneurial talent rooted in business creation and experience in consumer markets. The founding of Loops and the development of Grupo Blascool are among the milestones informing his international outlook.
For Berthet, the next chapter involves assessing how that experience could translate into future projects. His goal is to explore growth opportunities that connect the knowledge developed in Chile with the distinctive characteristics of other markets.
