With more than 20 years of membership, Samango follows in the footsteps of his father, who previously served as president of the historic Philadelphia institution.

PHILADELPHIA, PA / ACCESS Newswire / November 2, 2026 / Anthony Samango, President of Carson Concrete Corporation, is marking more than two decades of membership at Carpenters' Hall, continuing an association that includes his father, Anthony John Samango Jr. Since joining in 2005, Samango has maintained his involvement with the historic Philadelphia institution, where his father previously held the position of President.

Samango, or Anthony John Samango III, has been a member since 2005. His involvement follows that of his father, Anthony John Samango Jr., who previously served as president of Carpenters' Hall and was also president of the General Building Contractors Association (GBCA).

The family's association with the organization spans two generations and reflects their longstanding involvement in Philadelphia.

A Family Connection to Philadelphia

Anthony Samango grew up in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and attended Episcopal Academy before studying Civil Engineering at Tulane University in New Orleans.

He began working in construction in 1988, at the age of 12, and has remained involved in the industry throughout his adult life.

Today, he serves as President of Carson Concrete Corporation, a Philadelphia-based company whose projects have included high-rise residential buildings, hotels, parking garages, and other large structures.

Although his professional life is connected to construction, his membership at Carpenters' Hall represents another part of his relationship with the city.

His father, Anthony John Samango Jr., held a leadership position at the institution, while the younger Samango has maintained his own membership for more than 20 years.

The connection brings together the family's professional history and its involvement in an institution that has been part of Philadelphia for generations.

Continuing a Longstanding Association

Carpenters' Hall is best known as the site of the First Continental Congress in 1774. The historic building remains an important landmark in Philadelphia and is associated with the city's architectural and civic history.

For Anthony J. Samango, membership connects his personal background with a place that has significance beyond the construction industry.

His membership began in 2005, following years of early construction experience and engineering studies at Tulane University.

Since then, he has continued his career at Carson Concrete Corporation. Among the company's notable projects was the Philadelphia Phillies' ballpark, which opened in 2004. Carson Concrete poured more than 60,000 cubic yards of concrete for the stadium.

Outside his professional responsibilities, Samango has maintained interests in aviation, martial arts, and community service. He holds a private pilot's license, has earned black belts in Tang Soo Do and Taekwondo, and previously volunteered with the Gladwyne Fire Company and as an emergency medical technician.

Spending a lot of time in Philadelphia, Samango continues to maintain connections to the local area where he grew up.

His more than 20 years of membership at Carpenters' Hall offer an opportunity to recognize a family association that includes both Anthony John Samango Jr. and Anthony John Samango III.
