DUBLIN, IE / ACCESS Newswire / August 28, 2026 / Moon.com has opened an online market-betting platform that lets anyone wager on whether the price of a financial asset will move Up or Down, with leverage selectable from 1x to 1000x and one guarantee attached to every position: the most a user can lose is the amount they staked.

The platform covers cryptocurrency, equities, futures, commodities and forex in a single interface, wagerable 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Users select an asset, choose a direction, enter a wager and a multiplier, and open the position. Available leverage varies by market and prevailing conditions.

That single rule rewrites the risk profile of leveraged markets. A position is closed automatically the moment it has lost an amount equal to the original wager. Users cannot lose more than they stake and are not liable for further losses if the market keeps moving after closure. There is no margin call, no top-up demand and no negative balance.

"This is the product retail traders have needed for twenty years," said Conrad Castleton of FreeTips.com. "You get real leverage, on real markets, around the clock, and your downside is the number you typed in. Nobody gets a call asking for money they do not have. Know your Max Loss Price, size the multiplier to the market, and you have a tool that behaves exactly as advertised."

Serious leverage, fixed downside

On Moon.com's published example, a $100 wager at 1000x controls a $100,000 position. With Bitcoin at $78,800, a 0.1% move in the user's favour theoretically returns $100, and the worst case is the $100 staked.

Every bet carries a Max Loss Price, calculated the moment the bet is opened in the open bets list, and drawn live on the chart as a red line so the exit is visible at all times. Optional Auto Profit Close and Auto Loss Close settings let users bank a target or step out early without watching the screen. Before placing any bet users can see the fees in the Fee Calculator thus giving users full transparency on the costs of entering a position.

"We model leveraged positions across 45 crypto, equity, ETF and metals markets, and the number that has historically ruined people is not the multiplier, it is the negative balance," said Angus Colquhoun , editor of MarketMoves.com. "Moon.com removes that outcome entirely. Your worst case is set before you open, it never moves, and there is no scenario where a gap leaves you owing money. Add an opening fee charged on the stake rather than the exposure and the cost side is the cheapest we have modelled. This is the first structure we have seen that lets someone use serious leverage without the tail risk that used to come attached to it."

Fees charged on the wager, not the exposure

Moon.com charges a 1% opening fee on the wager amount rather than on leveraged exposure. A $100 wager at 1000x, representing $100,000 of market exposure, costs $1 to open. Measured against notional, that is 0.001%, against a base taker fee of 0.045% per side on Hyperliquid's published perpetuals schedule.

Positions held beyond the initial betting period are subject to a holding fee assessed every eight hours, priced dynamically against volatility, liquidity and broader funding costs. Reversing a position to the opposite direction incurs the opening fee again. A performance fee applies to realised profit on winning bets only. Losing bets cost nothing beyond the wager.

Markets that never close

Moon.com prices supported assets continuously by aggregating feeds from multiple independent institutional market data providers, and does not create or manually adjust prices to influence outcomes. Continuous pricing extends to equities outside regular exchange hours, so a user can act on overnight Tesla news the moment it breaks rather than waiting for the opening bell. Practice first, at no cost

A Play Money mode provides a simulated balance, toppable up to $100,000, so users can test multipliers, auto-close settings and the interface before committing real funds. Live accounts require email verification and identity verification including government-issued ID and proof of address. Deposits are accepted in cryptocurrency, and access is restricted to supported jurisdictions with geolocation checks applied.

About Moon.com

Moon.com is an online leveraged market-betting platform on which users wager on whether financial-market prices will move Up or Down. It provides access to cryptocurrency, equity, futures, commodity and forex markets in a single interface, with leverage selectable from 1x to 1000x depending on the market and prevailing conditions, and maximum loss on any bet limited to the amount wagered. Moon.com is available only in supported jurisdictions. The Moon.com referral code is NEWBONUS. Terms and eligibility are set out at FreeTips.com.

Compliance notice

Adults only. Available only where legally permitted, and not available to users in restricted jurisdictions. Promotional terms, eligibility requirements and geographic restrictions apply. Limits might change before scheduled volatility events like earnings announcements.

Leveraged betting carries substantial risk. Leverage magnifies both potential returns and losses, and users can lose the entire amount wagered as a result of very small movements in the underlying market. At the highest available multipliers, a price move of a fraction of one percent is sufficient to lose the full stake.

Notes for editors

The launch lands in a year in which the boundary between betting and brokerage has narrowed sharply. Polymarket moved into leveraged perpetual futures on crypto and equities in April after securing US designated contract market approval. CME Group launched single-stock futures on more than 50 large US companies in July, pitched as leverage without the complexity of options. Moon.com arrives at the same destination with a simpler mechanic and a hard cap on downside. MarketMoves.com is a simulator and data reference website, publishing exposure, liquidation-distance and realised-volatility figures across 45 markets. Further coverage of betting and market products is available at FreeTips.com.
