Company Update
NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / October 13, 2026 / Horizon Space Acquisition I Corp. ("HSPO") (OTCQB:HSPOF), a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company, and ArcheNova Biotech Corp. ("ArcheNova" or the "Company"), a clinical-stage, platform-based biopharmaceutical company, focusing on the research, development, clinical translation, scalable manufacturing and global commercialization of innovative drugs derived from mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC)-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) and exosomes, today announced that they have entered into a definitive business combination agreement (the "Business Combination Agreement"). Upon completion of the business combination of HSPO and the Company and related transactions pursuant to the Business Combination Agreement (collectively, the "Proposed Transactions"), ArcheNova Technology Co., Ltd, a Cayman Islands exempted company newly formed for purpose of effecting the Proposed Transactions (the "Combined Company" or "PubCo") will be listed on The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC ("Nasdaq").
The closing of the Proposed Transactions is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory and shareholder approvals.
ArcheNova's MSC-Exosome Platform for Tissue Repair and Regenerative Medicine
ArcheNova has established a proprietary MSC-exosome therapeutics platform built on an immortalized monoclonal MSC producer cell line, supported by a good manufacturing practice (GMP) master cell bank, controlled manufacturing processes, and an integrated chemistry, manufacturing and controls (CMC) framework. This platform provides a renewable, defined biological source for scalable and reproducible exosome production, addressing key challenges of donor variability and batch consistency.
One of ArcheNova's key advantages is the ability to develop multiple therapeutic products from a common, process-defined exosome drug substance, leveraging shared manufacturing processes, analytical methods and quality systems across indications. The same producer cell line underpins the ArcheNova's foundational preclinical studies and clinical-stage development, providing continuity from discovery to clinical translation.
ArcheNova's competitive protection extends beyond conventional patents. MSC-exosome products are complex biologics whose identity and activity depend on their cell source and manufacturing process. Products derived from different sources or processes cannot be presumed therapeutically equivalent, creating potential barriers to biosimilar competition. Exclusive control of its producer cell line and proprietary manufacturing know-how may provide durable competitive advantages beyond patent expiry.
ArcheNova is advancing therapeutic programs spanning dermatology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, neurology and cardiology, at different stages of development. Its lead topical psoriasis program has completed a Phase I clinical trial in ten healthy volunteers at Singapore's National University Hospital, and is being prepared for Phase II clinical evaluation.
Together, ArcheNova's scalable manufacturing platform, clinical progress and durable competitive advantages provide a foundation for developing a differentiated portfolio of cell-free regenerative medicines.
