COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS / ACCESS Newswire / October 28, 2026 / Holistiplan, a leading tax planning platform for financial advisors and tax professionals, announced Strategy Library, a new feature that uses uploaded tax return data to surface applicable, pre-built planning strategies populated with the client's own numbers. The feature is part of Holistiplan's continued expansion of document collection and modeling capabilities to reduce manual work throughout the tax planning process.
Strategy Library gives firms a starting point for identifying what to model and reviewing its potential tax impact. They can review strategies and estimated impacts and move selected strategies into Scenario Analysis for further modeling without starting from a blank screen or re-entering the inputs.
That time savings is especially valuable for tax and accounting firms expanding into year-round advisory services, where delivering planning across more clients creates opportunities to grow revenue, strengthen client relationships, and attract new business.
Tax and accounting professionals have used Holistiplan since its earliest days and are now its fastest-growing customer segment. As more firms expand into year-round advisory services, Holistiplan is committing to a product roadmap of high value to this audience while continuing to advance the mission of helping financial advisors deliver richer financial planning to more clients.
"Tax professionals already have the expertise, and they're often the first to see what a client could do differently next year," said Roger Pine, CFA®, CFP®, co-founder and CEO of Holistiplan. "We want to make it easier to act on that insight. A completed return can be the beginning of the next planning conversation, and we're investing in tools that help tax professionals and financial advisors make that conversation part of how they serve clients."
Across its customer base, more than 11,000 firms rely on Holistiplan's tax technology, with more than 68,000 users and more than 2 million uploaded tax returns analyzed, representing over 20 million pages.
Built by financial advisors, its proprietary tax engine is rooted in tax law and keeps pace as it evolves, giving firms a consistent, transparent foundation for modeling strategies and preparing client recommendations.
Strategy Library includes pre-built strategies such as Roth IRA Conversions (to different brackets), Bunching Charitable Deductions using a DAF, and Tax-Loss Harvesting to name a few. It checks the uploaded return for applicable strategies and uses the client's figures to estimate each strategy's tax impact.
"Firms need to understand how an estimate was calculated and whether the assumptions fit their client," said Andrew VanVladricken, Holistiplan's Director of Product, Tax. "Strategy Library shows the figures behind each estimate and explains the calculation."
Strategy Library estimates each strategy's impact individually. Firms can then move selected strategies into Scenario Analysis to adjust assumptions and calculate their effect on the client's overall tax picture, refining the analysis before making a recommendation.
Holistiplan's expanded document collection capabilities also reduce the work of getting client information into the platform. IRS transcript retrieval and bulk email requests with secure upload links simplify obtaining tax documents, while Pay Stub Scanner extracts wages, deductions, and withholding for current-year projections. Schedule E Modeling allows firms to evaluate rental, pass-through business, trust and estate income within Scenario Analysis, with deeper modeling of complex tax situations planned for 2027.
Together with client-ready reports and visual explainers, these capabilities help financial advisors and tax professionals collect information and model options faster, then make recommendations easier for clients to understand-showing the potential tax impact, the value of the planning work, and what steps to take next.
