Against the backdrop of AB 1572 - a law that gradually prohibits the use of potable water for irrigating ornamental lawns on commercial, government, and HOA properties starting in 2027 - Ukrainian - American startup GreenMix has announced the planned commercial launch of an advanced mixer for the automatic application of liquid fertilizers through drip irrigation systems.

The GreenMix system automatically applies liquid fertilizers through existing irrigation infrastructure without additional equipment or manual labor. Nutrients are delivered directly to the root zone of plants simultaneously with irrigation, ensuring precise and controlled nutrition with minimal consumption of water and fertilizers. The system reduces manual labor for landscape maintenance by up to 80 percent and optimizes water use - making it especially relevant for commercial properties, HOAs, and government facilities transitioning to new water - use standards.
The company pays particular attention to compatibility with recycled water. GreenMix works with a local California manufacturer of specially developed mildly acidic fertilizer formulas that compensate for the increase in soil pH typically observed when using recycled water. The technology has been tested on active commercial properties and served as the basis for an international PCT patent application.
