IRVINE, CA / ACCESS Newswire / July 6, 2026 / Against the backdrop of AB 1572 - a law gradually prohibiting the use of potable water for irrigating ornamental lawns on commercial, government, and HOA properties starting in 2027 - Ukrainian-American startup GreenMix has announced the planned commercial launch of an advanced mixer for the automatic application of liquid fertilizers through drip irrigation systems.
Leading the company is Volodymyr Dragan, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of GreenMix, a licensed Landscape Contractor with experience in sales, management, and commercial landscaping projects in California. Under his leadership, GreenMix and GreenPlace Inc. have completed more than 100 projects across Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego over three years.

Thousands of properties across California are transitioning to drought-resistant plants, drip irrigation, and recycled water. AB 1572 creates direct regulatory demand for technologies enabling precise plant nutrition through drip irrigation systems - and GreenMix is entering the market at a moment when this demand is becoming widespread.
The GreenMix system automatically applies liquid fertilizers through existing irrigation infrastructure without additional equipment or manual labor. Nutrients are delivered directly to the root zone of plants simultaneously with irrigation, ensuring precise and controlled nutrition with minimal consumption of water and fertilizers. The system reduces manual labor for landscape maintenance by up to 80 percent and optimizes water use - making it especially relevant for commercial properties, HOAs, and government facilities transitioning to new water-use standards.
GreenMix works with a local California manufacturer of specially developed mildly acidic fertilizer formulas compatible with recycled water. The technology has been tested on active commercial properties, received a patent in Ukraine, and served as the basis for an international PCT patent application.
