The U.S. Army veteran-operated maker of advanced photonic solutions will support U.S. Army's night fighting capability with production and delivery of its advanced DAGIR®-V1 laser systems in 2027.

REDMOND, WA / ACCESS Newswire / June 30, 2026 / Defense technology manufacturer B.E. Meyers & Co. has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Army for its next-generation laser aiming module, supporting and enhancing the lethality of American warfighters worldwide.

B.E. Meyers & Co., a veteran-operated small business in its 52nd year, is a global leader in tactical laser systems for combat applications and optoelectronic systems for aircraft and UAVs. With the contract award, the company will deliver 8,936 DAGIR®-V1 systems to the U.S. Army under the Capability Program Executive Ground Soldier Systems (CPE Ground) in support of the M7 Surrogate Fire Control Program.

"Following our deliveries of MAWL®-X1 systems to the Department of War in previous years, we are honored to continue our support of the US Army with our DAGIR® laser system," said Matthew Meyers, CEO and second-generation owner of B.E. Meyers & Co. "These systems, proudly American Made, ensure that our Warfighters have multi-function laser technology that supports the clarity, speed, and precision of modern night lethality needs."

The order will be delivered in Government Fiscal Year 2027 through the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Tailored Logistics Support (TLS) program. The DAGIR®-V1 is part of B.E. Meyers & Co.'s latest generation of infrared and visible aiming and illumination laser systems, designed for weapon-mounted and multi-platform applications across demanding operational environments.

The DAGIR®-V1 is a weapon-mounted Near Infrared (NIR) and visible pointer with a NIR illuminator built for demanding mission requirements. Its over-bore 40-milliwatt IR pointer and dual 350-milliwatt VCSEL-based IR illuminators provide strong performance through dense photonic barriers and high ambient light environments. The system's human-machine interface allows soldiers to adjust beam divergence and output without removing their hand from the weapon, supporting faster operation under pressure.

The DAGIR® series represents a major advancement in multi-function aiming and illumination technology. The system combines in one device both an NIR illuminator and NIR and visible aiming lasers. Its refined form factor is built for ergonomic operation while its ruggedized housing is designed to support use across harsh field conditions while maintaining consistent optical performance.

At the core of the DAGIR®-V1 is the MINIRVA diode system, which uses Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) technology to support beam precision and illumination quality. This technology provides sharper beam projection and more defined illumination, supporting target identification, situational awareness, and threat assessment across a range of operating conditions.

The U.S. Army's selection of the DAGIR®-V1 follows testing, evaluation, and soldier feedback, further reinforcing the system's role in supporting modern night operations. The DAGIR® family provides NIR illumination and aiming capabilities built around advanced VCSEL-based technology, giving users a compact, ruggedized system designed for speed, control, and precision in low-light and night fighting conditions.

The DAGIR® family has also been selected by US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), with the DAGIR®-V1 designated as the LA-30 under the SAL-UHP program and assigned NSN 5855-01-724-3043. The DAGIR®-V2, which features an additional visual laser override button, has also been adopted by USSOCOM under the Miniature Aiming Laser Ultra High Power (MAL-UHP) contract.

The DAGIR®-V1 aligns with the U.S. Army's ongoing modernization efforts across visual augmentation systems and small arms programs. B.E. Meyers & Co. remains committed to delivering American-made photonic systems that support the operational needs of U.S. Warfighters.
