Company Update
An internationally renowned industry leader with 15 years of expertise in business process automation, Bonitasoft deployed its new strategic approach in just 18 months
The company has now launched the first AI orchestration solution with built-in governance.
Serving more than 150 clients, Bonitasoft has now rebranded to Ofelia, drawing on its deep knowledge of business processes as well as the experience of its 80 employees, who lived and shaped this transformation.
After 15 years helping companies around the world automate complex business processes, Ofelia (formerly Bonitasoft) now offers a solution to orchestrate business processes throughout the company, directly inside Slack and Microsoft Teams.

Teams can now run business processes autonomously by interacting with AI agents, while governance and data control remain in the hands of IT.
"Initially, AI does boost individual productivity, with gains of 15 to 20% for each role using it. However, this can quickly lead to a loss of collective efficiency if AI use is uncoordinated, also leading to runaway cost increases.", explains Christophe Bouron, CEO of Ofelia.
He adds: "So far, teams are being encouraged to use AI on an individual basis, which is counterproductive. By introducing AI in a coordinated, orchestrated way across an entire company, it is possible to double or triple productivity gains per role."
Ofelia has developed a portfolio of agentic solutions that draw on both its expertise in automating complex business processes and on several LLMs, aligned with the needs of its various clients. These solutions analyze business requests to propose automated execution processes based on the data available within the organization. By design, the solutions request human approval at every step of implementing a process, thus introducing "governance into AI."
To provide an intuitive entry point for all users, Ofelia's tools are directly embedded in workplace communication tools (Microsoft Teams and Slack), This makes adoption more effective, inclusive and secure, and sets a clear, unified framework for adopting and using agentic AI across the organization.
For Christophe Bouron, "By embedding our tool in communications platforms, we make AI more accessible to everyone. Processes are less fragmented, since everything goes through this common filter. The client organisation controls what data the tool can access, ensuring that sensitive information remains protected."
Ofelia aims to set a new standard for the adoption of AI agents by businesses. The name itself is derived from the Greek Ôpheleia, meaning "one who helps." The company sees its agility, its international footprint, and its expertise in business processes as key assets to outpace SaaS giants, which are struggling to break away from their own models.
The tools are currently aimed at mid-sized companies. (1,000 to 8,000 employees).
