Company Update

BOCA RATON, FL / ACCESSWIRE / September 11, 2023 / The newly formed company will direct its efforts to advance a term it calls "market conscience" in the music industry. As part of its mission to bridge cultures and promote a more united world, The Holy Meme wants to bring attention to the role and impact that the music industry has on the general public.

The United States is an admired nation that, under God, upholds liberties such as freedom of speech and religion. However, some influential figures in the music industry have betrayed the moral responsibility, or social contract, that is granted by spreading messages that not only create division but also harm. Rather than seeing it as a matter of corporate responsibility, the campaign focus will be on the artistic choices with regards to content.

Larger market conscience can protect individual rights against continual emotional distress caused by uncomfortable or many times, offensive content. However, malice can only be determined through investigations.

Creating market conscience is imperative, as individuals who have experienced irreparable harm will face many challenges in court given that artists have substantial financial resources at their disposal. The Holy Meme campaign is not meant to restrict speech, but rather create conscience and raise questions with regards to accountability for hateful speech.

Illustrative Categories and Examples:

  • Religiously offensive references: "Eat that b***h like the Last Supper." This is an example that degrades one of the most sacred moments for an entire religion.
  • Adultery and commonly unethical behavior: "Heard that was your wifey, I turned her to my w***e." The damage, trauma, mental health deterioration, or injury that individuals who faced marital infidelities were forced to relive daily with similar lyrics.
  • Promoting violence to the extent of implying allegiance to terrorist groups: "Al-Qaeda, I'm Taliban." Children or teens may end up in jail by listening and following violent behavior. More concerning however is the direct disrespect to September 11 and the dishonor to the memory of the lost lives in confronting the group.
  • Spiritually offensive messages that can be associations to Satan: "I pay a half a million for his soul." The concerning association that people are being led astray.

It is difficult to bridge communities when interpretations by individuals are involved. Market conscience may take a larger role moving into 2024 and The Holy Meme campaign hopes to create positive change moving forward.
