LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / April 18, 2016 / Anthea Palmer, a singer songwriter, music business coach, rock school founder and venue owner, is pleased to announce the launch of Jimmy Hornet, a creative hub for musicians, artists and other people.
As Palmer noted, Jimmy Hornet, which is located in South East China in the Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, will include a live music venue, a retail space that specializes in art and design from around the world, and a restaurant and bar that features fresh, tapas style meals. All of these elements together will help make Jimmy Hornet a unique and welcoming place to gather, a great destination, and a sustainable business.
Palmer was inspired to create Jimmy Hornet by her passion for promoting live music from the West throughout South East China. As she has learned first-hand, it can be difficult to get permission to set up a music touring and promotion business in the region, so Palmer adapted her first business plan to gain local government approval.
"This Jimmy Hornet hub will also be the first stop on the Music Tour of South East China. I already have venues in five cities confirmed and ready to go," Palmer said, adding that for musicians, having the opportunity to tour in China will expose them to a culture that craves the Western influence.
"Instead of being one of a thousand singer songwriters playing to an over exposed audience, the Jimmy Hornet Tour will provide fresh ears, attitudes, and an opportunity to reach an enormous un-tapped population."
To help raise needed funds to pay for the costs associated with the Jimmy Hornet campaign, Palmer recently launched a fundraiser on the Indiegogo website. She hopes to raise $50,000 through crowdfunding, which will all be put into the Jimmy Hornet creative hub.
"For the local Chinese, Jimmy Hornet offers a hub where they will have access to western creativity and a community that encourages individuality," she said.
