Patagonia is a stretch of largely untouched wilderness that is shared by Argentina and Chile. It is a frequent destination of through-hikers and adventurers due to its majestic beauty and unbridled wilderness. Being called "The Yellowstone of South America," Patagonia is considered one of the last great wilderness areas in the world.
The Greater Patagonian Trail follows a combination of old roads, horse and game trails, footpaths, and rivers through some of the most beautiful country in the world. The team will attempt to trek its entirety until their journey ends in Patagonia National Park, relying on nothing more than boats and their own two legs while they negotiate the rugged 1,500 km journey.
The 4 person crew includes:
- Garrett Martin- Creator/Director/Producer/Cinematographer
- Robyn McLellan- British Traveler/Spanish Translator
- Aljoscha Adam- German Traveler/Co-Producer
- Robert Caruana Dingli- Wilderness Survivalist/Canadian Traveler/Trail Guide
In order to raise the funds necessary to make a documentary of this magnitude, the team at UNBOUNDED has taken the project to the crowdfunding site, Kickstarter. There, they hope to raise the financial backing required to make a high quality film that will gain notice by a worldwide audience. The majority of profit from the film will go straight to "Conservacion Patagonica," who will use it to create more National Parks throughout the region.
