Thanks to the New Data Center, Psychz will be Able to Offer its Clients Even Better Disaster Recovery Along with DDoS Attack Mitigation
HERNDON, VA / ACCESSWIRE / November 16, 2015 / Psychz, a company that specializes in disaster recovery, dedicated hosting and DDoS mitigation services, has just announced the launch of its new data center on the east coast of the United States. As a company spokesperson noted, thanks to the new dedicated server on the U.S. east coast, Psychz will be able to offer its clients even better disaster recovery along with DDoS attack mitigation.
"By having three data center locations, customers can stay within the same network and offer 100 percent uptime by hosting in Los Angeles, Dallas and Ashburn," the spokesperson said, adding that it will also play a critical role in enhancing customer experience with the help of content delivery networks spread across the three data centers.
By adding the third data center location, Psychz will also be able to increase its DDoS protection for dedicated server capabilities.
"When an attack comes in, the dirty traffic can be scrubbed across our different locations and clean traffic will be routed towards its destination," the spokesperson said.
The new data center is a state-of-the-art facility that is SSAE16 Type I Certified and SAS70 Type II Certified. The 325,000 square foot building is fully diverse, with redundant fiber entrances, and offers diverse paths to nearby data centers for additional connectivity, and access to over 100 networks via cross connect.
The data center also features a FM-200 fire suppression and dry-pipe, pre-action sprinkler and an 800 kW Caterpillar generator, the spokesperson said. The facility is powered by dual power grids that are shared with Dulles International Airport, and includes two active Power 300 kVa Flywheel-based UPS systems, and five Liebert PDUs with a capacity of 120 circuits per PDU.
Other features that stand out in the new facility include a 600 circuit capacity, 2N and N 1 power options, and approximately 120 tons of cooling via Liebert CRAC units. The data center also includes a Liebert moisture detection system beneath raised flooring and a hot aisle containment system.
"There is a Mantrap entryway with bullet-proof glass and biometric access control systems, and the entire suite and colocation area is protected by a proximity badge with electronic locks at each entry," the spokesperson said.
