Based on her best-selling books, the animated series will help children quickly internalize life lessons through the medium of cartoons

The Whatif monster is about the monster of doubt that lives within everyone; always questioning things and imagining negative results. In the story, the Whatif monster resides within the psyche of a little boy named Jonathon James. While Jonathon contemplates doing fun things with his friends, the voice of the Whatif monster prevents him from participating.
When thinking about playing baseball for example, the Whatif monster says: "What if it's hard, what if you're bad, what if they laugh, and make you feel sad."
The book has received a number of awards, but most importantly it has helped children surmount the voice of doubt. Parents have even written in to "Ms. Michelle" and thanked her for the lessons her books teach not only to children, but to their parents as well.
Stemming from an idea of one of her students, Ms. Michelle now wants to make an animated pilot that will feature all the characters from her books. Once the pilot is created, she plans to take it to the networks in attempt of landing a long term contract.
"We want to create a show that brings back this level of quality and education by turning my award-winning children's books into an animated series that enables kids to quickly materialize the valuable lessons they see unfold before them."
In order to offset some of the financial strain of the pilot, Ms. Michelle has taken the project to the pages of Kickstarter where she hopes to raise a minimum of $25,000 to fund the inaugural episode.
"Of course, we are all dreamers, so it doesn't end there. By reaching our stretch goals, we will be able to begin producing entire episodes; who knows, maybe even a whole season, and then we'll let the networks come to us!" says Ms. Michelle.
