MIAMI, FL / ACCESSWIRE / October 26, 2022 / Astrology and horoscope app, ZodiacSign, has announced its new rebranding, both of the app and the associated website, with the hopes of reaching the millennial generation. Formerly known as Astrology-Zodiac-Signs, the company felt that a name change to something more streamlined and compact would help to promote the company and provide a more visually appealing aesthetic, as well as make it easier to search for, whether online or via the IOS and Android app stores.
Launched in 2010, the company has been honing and developing its team of seasoned astrologers, along with marketing experts, to create a full service astrology website and app offering a variety of services by popular demand. The Android version of the app, released in 2016, saw over 250,000 downloads between the release and the 2019 update. The IOS version was released at the same time and between the two platforms has been downloaded over 500,000 times.
A spokesperson for ZodiacSign.com predicts that the rebranding will mean significant growth for the company.
"We anticipate hitting a million downloads by 2024," the company says. "Right now we have over 3,200 reviews, and the app is rated an average of 4.6 stars, which means we're definitely doing something right!"
Founder and CEO Morgen Collins shares that the company's goal is to give its readers a well-founded view on astrology.
"We share content that will spark curiosity and remind every person that answers are out there, waiting to be discovered," he says. "This would not be possible without our web of hardworking individuals that are passionate about their jobs."
The team at ZodiacSign has created the website and apps to function as a one-stop astrology portal. The rebranding has streamlined all associated platforms and allows the company to focus on its content.
Collins says, "We are the only astrology website that does not sell reports or sell psychic readings. All our content is absolutely free."
This includes Tarot card services, such as details about what each card means and a "yes or no" question format to be answered by the cards - all still for free, which is rare in an industry where Tarot services usually have a price tag attached.
Known as the "Wikipedia" of astrology, ZodiacSign continues to expand its team, and utilize the new name and revitalized look of the website to drawn in its targeted audience base of millennials (ages 26-41, approximately), which studies show are more likely to embrace astrology than other generations, especially previous generations.
"We have seen studies and surveys for this group," says Collins. "And, we noticed a strong tendency of millennials to eschew conventional religion in favor of New Age spirituality."
The Pew Research Center study he refers to found that approximately 60% of millennials (those born between 1981 and 1996) state that they believe in spirituality. At the same time, this generation is statistically less likely to attend traditional church services or belong to organized religion.
The astrology industry is worth around $2 billion USD worldwide, with the online astrology industry worth over $40 million in the US alone, and as millennials are growing older and becoming more established in their jobs and careers, they are certainly driving this industry. Of course, in the wake of the pandemic, many people in this age group are also facing financial struggles, meaning that while they are statistically quite likely to read a daily horoscope and download an astrology app, they're also looking to save money.
