NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / Februrary 25, 2015 / The Christophers introduce "Christopher Reflections," a new series of brief videos on faith and spirituality hosted by Father Jonathan Morris, a well-known media analyst on religion and culture.
The videos, which run between 2 and 3 minutes in length and can be found through The Christophers' website at www.christophers.org, feature insightful and inspiring homilies by Father Jonathan Morris, spiritual advisor to The Christophers, former Program Director of Sirius XM's "The Catholic Channel," and current Administrator of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in the Bronx, New York.
In "Christopher Reflections," Father Morris shares The Christophers' timeless message of faith put into action through personal transformation and dynamic leadership. His comments address the full range of human experiences. For instance, in one of the new videos, he talks about spiritual direction, suggesting viewers develop a "business plan for your soul." In another video, Father Morris acknowledges resentment as a natural human emotion, while offering suggestions for overcoming it. New episodes will be added weekly.
"Storytelling that inspires positive action is at the core of The Christophers' mission," said Tony Rossi, The Christophers' Director of Communications, "so we are fortunate to have such an engaging storyteller as Father Jonathan sharing his insights in our ‘Christopher Reflections' video series."
Episodes have been shot at Manhattan's Corpus Christi Church and at historic Saint Patrick's Old Cathedral, where Father Morris served as parochial vicar from 2009 to 2013. In addition to ministering at Columbia University, he has worked as religion and culture analyst for CNN, Fox News, the BBC, the Wall Street Journal, and the History Channel.
A Catholic organization founded in 1945 by Maryknoll priest Father James Keller, The Christophers use media to encourage people of all faiths to engage in constructive action based on gospel values. Today that mission continues through Christopher News Notes; "Three Minutes a Day" books; the "Christopher Closeup" radio show, podcast and blog; and the renowned Christopher Awards, which honor books, film and television programs that affirm the highest values of the human spirit. High schools, colleges, parishes, dioceses, and all other organizations can link to Father Jonathan's videos at www.christophers.org.
