Company Poses That Solution-Based Films with Answers to Real Problems Are The Future of Cinema
CHINO, CA / ACCESSWIRE / February 7, 2022 / The movie business is in a state of constant change. The popularity of streaming has turned the industry upside down and questions the future of the movie-going experience. According to the Nelson report, the 2021 Oscars plunged to a new low with only 10.4 million viewers, down 56% from the previous year. Some say this suggests viewers are bored with standard Hollywood fare and are looking for alternatives.
Eugene Mandelcorn, President and Founder of Made To Order Movies, says "Lee'd The Way," a new feature that recently won Best Independent U.S. Film at the Chinese American International Film Festival, could be the beginning of a whole new concept in the world of entertainment.
Mandelcorn says "'Lee'd The Way" has no stars and attempts to do more than just entertain or make audiences forget about the problems they face every day. "It actually offers solutions to those problems."

It is the story of Patrick Lee, who is legally blind and autistic, "the perfect candidate for President of the United States." In the film's first few scenes, a new invention called "NuEyes" is introduced. Nu Eyes is an actual invention and product that could allow "legally blind" people to see. Made To Order Movies says, "throughout the movie, possible solutions are offered to the viewing public, melded into the storyline, like the jewels in a timepiece."
Producers at Made To Order Movies are hopeful Lee'd The Way will grab the attention of a worldwide audience, similar to "The Blair Witch Project" or "Paranormal Activity."
Mandelcorn poses that "this could this really lead the way for other filmmakers to make films and establish a 'new genre'. Will the industry change, like when it moved from silent to talkie, black & white to color, or film to digital. Who knows if this film will take off, but we should at least give it a chance." If it does, "Lee'd The Way" could be remembered as the little film that led to a whole new kind of entertainment, the ‘solution genre'.
He adds, "wouldn't it be great if audiences watched a film that could present solutions to problems instead of trying to forget about their problems?"
