NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / January 26, 2023 / The real estate industry plays a crucial role in the fight against climate change. As a major contributor to global carbon emissions, it is imperative that the sector takes steps to decarbonize and become more energy efficient. Recognizing this responsibility, Zara Realty, a New York-based family-owned real estate firm, has taken the initiative to make its properties not only energy efficient but also environmentally friendly. The company's green initiatives are a testament to its commitment towards ensuring sustainable housing for all. By making the real estate industry more energy efficient, Zara Realty is not only reducing its own carbon footprint but also setting an example for other companies to follow. This is a powerful step in the right direction towards a more sustainable future.
"We are aware of the adverse effects of climate change on our society and environment. We believe that the real estate industry should promote sustainable housing in order to reduce its overall carbon footprint." Tony Sobraj, Co-Managing Partner of Zara Realty
The real estate industry is a significant contributor to global carbon emissions, responsible for nearly 40% of the total emissions. This highlights the important role that the sector plays in the fight against climate change and the need for it to take steps to decarbonize and become more energy efficient.
As part of its efforts to make the real estate sector more energy-efficient, Zara Realty has implemented a strategy of installing solar panels on all of the buildings it owns and operates. The company aims to decrease carbon emissions by gradually switching to solar energy instead of traditional sources. Solar energy is a clean, renewable, and emission-free alternative that can substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions, particularly carbon dioxide, when compared to the use of fossil fuels.
"Our aim is to transform the industry into a sustainable one. Installing solar power is the first step in our mission. Our goal is to trailblaze the future of the green revolution through our green initiatives." Amir Sobhraj, Co-Managing Partner of Zara Realty.
Apart from its energy-efficient initiatives, Zara Realty also deploys a computerized modulating boiler control system on its buildings in order to regulate heat. The system automatically adjusts the heat emissions according to the outside weather. The system identifies the temperature variations from time to time, using sensors, and prevents the building from becoming overheated or underheated. The computerized heat control system can also make the boilers run more efficiently.
