Sunset Pacific Petroleum and its Tunisian based joint venture partners IMI and COFIFAR-SICAR (the investment arm of the Carte Group) have been diligently processing the technical data related to the Company's previously announced applications for hydrocarbon concessions in Tunisia. This proactive approach will allow the Consortium to act quickly on any approvals being received.
The company understands that the process has been a long one but feels we are close to a positive final outcome.
The Company has a positive outlook for oil exploration in Tunisia and feels the country has the supportive base necessary to increase oil production and become North Africa's leading net increaser of oil and gas reserves.
